Re-envisioning EFL Education in Asia
Hi, Theron Muller, Steve Herder, Phil Brown and I have teamed up again for the third edited book in our trilogy. We started with Innovating EFL Teaching in Asia (2012) and then Exploring Fluency in Asia (2014). The third installment in the series is Re-envisioning EFL Education in Asia (2023). This soon-to-be-published third book by our editorial team and International Teacher Development Institute (iTDi) moves the conversation from Innovating EFL Teaching in Asia (2012) and Exploring EFL Fluency in Asia in 2014 to re-envisioning EFL teaching and learning through chapters that address contemporary 21st century issues. Here, Asia comes into its own as a vibrant center of language teaching pedagogy and research. Further, how borders are envisioned and drawn is critiqued through chapters that, for example, explore multiethnic China and the Asian diaspora’s experiences when studying outside Asia. Its chapters speak to teachers and researchers interested in how to re-envision language teaching in their own contexts.
